IAC Cub Family Campout
An Unforgettable Quacky Weekend Adventure Awaits at DUCK-O-REE!
When: March 21-23, 2025
Where: Avondale Scout Reservation, Camp McGee
Cost: This is an Adventure Pass event!
- Each Cub Scout will receive a Cub Family Campout Patch.
- FREE for registrations on or before March 5, 2025.
- Starting March 6, 2025, a $10 per participant fee applies (capped at $30 per household).
- Important: All youth must be accompanied by a registered adult. Individual youth registrations are not allowed.
Camping & Check-In
Camping is available on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Friday Check-In: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Saturday Check-In: 7:00 AM (Opening ceremony starts around 8:45 AM)
An Unforgettable Weekend Awaits!
Calling all Cub Scout families! Get ready for a weekend packed with outdoor adventures, exciting challenges, and rubber ducks! Your Scout will adopt their very own rubber duck and take on exciting challenges, games, and activities, making memories that will last a lifetime!
With their duck by their side, they will take on:
- Take a Hike: Story Walk – A guided nature adventure featuring The Ugly Duckling.
- Shooting Sports
- STEM Adventures:
- Rubber Duck Parachute Challenge
- Duck Rescue Challenge
- Duck Swing
- Water & Racing Fun:
- Build a Raft – Craft a raft for your duck to float and race.
- The Great Duck Race – A thrilling raingutter regatta, but with ducks!
*Activities might change, but we're still aiming for a quacktastic adventure.
It’s not all about the duck – it is about making lasting memories for your family.
Camp Shirts & Meal Options (Order in the "PRODUCT" section during checkout.)
Camp Shirts – Order by March 5th!
- Youth (S-L) & Adult (S-XL): $17.00
- Adult (2X-4X): $20.00
Lunch ($10 per ticket) – Capped at $30 per household
- Option 1: 2 Hot Dogs, Chips, and a Drink
- Option 2: 1 Hamburger, Chips, and a Drink
Dinner ($12 per ticket) – Capped at $36 per household
- Penne Pasta with Meatballs, Salad, Corn, Drink, and a Treat
Important: Bring your own mess kit (plate, bowl, cup, utensils). We use the three-bucket system for cleaning—Wash (soap), Rinse, and Sanitize.
All attendees (youth and adults) must have a current Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A & B). These forms should remain with your unit or family.
