OA Induction Experience 2026

Step into the next chapter of your Scouting journey with the Order of the Arrow (OA) Induction Weekend! This is an exciting and meaningful event for those ready to join the ranks of the OA and take their commitment to Scouting to the next level.

During this immersive weekend, new members will experience the fellowship and traditions of the Order of the Arrow, while learning the true significance of brotherhood, cheerfulness, and service. The induction process will challenge you, inspire you, and help you grow as a leader in the Scouting community.

Here’s what you can expect:

• Induction Ceremony: Experience the powerful and memorable ceremonial process that marks your official entry into the OA.
• Service Projects: Participate in meaningful service to improve your local Scout properties and give back to the community.
• Leadership Development: Learn from experienced Arrowmen about how you can contribute to your unit and the OA chapter in new and impactful ways.
• Brotherhood and Fellowship: Connect with fellow Scouts who share your commitment to the principles of the OA and enjoy a weekend of fun, adventure, and camaraderie.

The weekend will also include plenty of time for fellowship with new and returning Arrowmen, as well as opportunities to get to know the rich history and traditions of the OA. Whether you're completing your Induction Experience or preparing for Brotherhood, this event is the perfect way to take the next step in your Scouting adventure.

If your Unit has had their election and you were elected, join us at the next Induction Experience by registering below.

Onsite check-in will be between 6:00 and 7:00 pm, on Friday of the event at the Administration Building (by the red gate). Please arrive as early as possible. If you cannot arrive before 8:00 pm please call Chris Baker by Thursday @ 225-572-4372 or e-mail Chris Baker. We will attempt to accommodate late arrivals. Arrive in your work clothes for Saturday, no need to be in your field uniform. Friday dinner/supper will not be served, so eat before arrival or bring your food. You are expected to stay for the Sunday activities, including the General Lodge meeting. Sunday activities will conclude by 10:00 am.

Fees:

• Order of the Arrow New Member (has not completed their Induction) $60 (includes OA dues)
• Order of the Arrow Member going through the Induction Experience $20 (additional $30 if you have not paid OA dues)
• Order of the Arrow Members $30 (additional $30 if you have not paid OA dues)
