Merit Badge Day
Merit Badge Day will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, on the LSU Campus. The check-in location will be in the Arcade (Breezeway) in the LSU Quad on the North Side of Coates Hall. The event is open to all Scouts BSA. Come out and have a day of enjoyment while working on merit badges. Some merit badges are all day while some are only 2 or 4 hours. Please make note of these times. In some instances, the Scout may be able to take up to three merit badges. Check-in will be from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m. Classes will begin at 8:00 a.m. Lunch will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Classes will resume at 1:00 pm.
An Activity Consent form may be needed permitting the Scouts to do some activity off-campus for certain classes. This Activity Consent Form and Approval by Parents or Legal Guardian (680-673) is available on this page.
Scouts BSA Registration
- Cost: $45.00 per person, with lunch included.
- Pre-registration is required. Advance registration ($35 per person with lunch included) must be received by Friday, February 14, 2025. Standard pricing ($45.00) starts on Saturday, February 15, 2025, and concludes on February 20, 2025.
- No registration will be accepted at the door.
- The final deadline to register for Merit Badge Day is February 20, 2025.
- Some classes will fill up quicker than others, you must pay for your registration to hold your spot.
- Please make sure that your Scout reads this information as well as the merit badge pamphlet.
- Some of the merit badges will not be able to be completed on this day.
- If anyone requires accommodation, please specify (seating, enlarged handouts, etc.).
Adults/Leaders
If you plan on staying and would like lunch with the Scouts, please register. The cost for adults is $10.00.
Instructors
PLEASE register on the link below and register as "Staff" so we can make sure we have lunch for you. The cost for lunch is $10.00.
Annual Health and Medical Record should be filled out and remain with the scout.
All Scouts need to obtain the Merit Badge Book and read it before coming to the class(es). Please download the Merit Badge worksheet from USSCOUTS.org
