Scouting for Food

Scouting for Food is the food-collection drive coordinated by the Istrouma Area Council, Eagle Project or Unit Service Project. It’s a reminder to our local communities that Scouts are here and doing good turns. Each Unit selects their collection date and the benefiting organization. For more information check out this link "Scouting4Food".

Scouts Serve!

Want more Service Options? Scouting is fun for sure, but also service to the community. For ideas about how your Scouts can serve in ways big and small, individual or group, see the IAC "Service Projects" page.  Additionally, hat tip to the Southern Crescent District with the Atlanta Area Council with "a portal to a larger list of ideas" for your Den, Pack, Patrol, Troop, Crew – or your Scout and your family.

Journey to Excellence | Log Your Service Hours (and Tell Your Community)

Service Project Done? Don’t forget to complete your Journey to Excellence status report to help your Unit receive the recognition you’ve earned. Any individual Scout or Unit may participate in service activities throughout the year. All activities should be collected and logged into your Unit’s Scoutbook account. Don’t stop there: tell your Scouting service story to your schools, churches, social media and elsewhere in your community to let people know that Scouting Serves!  Be sure to "share" the pictures and information so recognition can be seen on the Istrouma Area Council Facebook page.
