Have you heard that Scout Week 2026 is quickly approaching at The National World War II Museum? Their annual Scout Week at the Museum is January 24 - February 1!
For the entire week, uniformed scouts will enjoy free admission and reduced cost for family members.
Included in admission is a free National WWII Museum fun patch available for each scout and troop leader! Pick up your patch at Guest Services; supplies are limited to one patch per scout or leader.
In addition, they are offering two optional badge workshops that are included with admission:
- January 24,10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Spyglass Scouts: Investigation Workshop (Ages 10-16)
- Fingerprinting Merit Badge: Become a junior detective and solve the mystery of the doodle that showed up everywhere during World War II: “Kilroy was here.” Follow clues, crack codes, and analyze fingerprints to uncover who Kilroy really was! Scouts will engage in a variety of activities around investigatory practices while also exploring and discovering aspects of fingerprinting during World War II and conducting a WWII-themed investigation.
- January 31, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: The Power of We: Law and Democracy for Scouts (Ages 10-16)
- Law Merit Badge: Step into the shoes of our nation’s lawmakers and law-shapers to discover how laws and democracy keep our nation strong—and how you can play a part! Scouts will engage in a variety of activities to demonstrate how each branch of government functions and how lawyers help shape our government.
They strongly recommend pre-registering for Scout Week, both for general admission and for the workshops. Here is the link to register and to read more about the badge workshops:
